NCME Workers’ Compensation
The North Carolina Mutual Employers Fund (NCME Fund) was founded to provide affordable workers’ compensation coverage to North Carolina companies while also providing outstanding service support. The Fund operates solely within the state of North Carolina and provides the financial foundation for the Worker’s Compensation insurance offered through iSurity. Established in 1994, the NCME Fund includes a wide range of small businesses to support competitively priced insurance for the insureds and compassionate and cost-effective care for injured workers.
As a non-profit organization, the NCME Fund is directed by a Board of Directors. It is managed and administered by iSurity, Inc. The strength of the NCME Fund is built upon strong investments and the requirement for participants to support effective business practices which include:
- Post-accident drug testing
- Early return-to-work programs
- Aggressive cost-containment programs
- Structured risk management programs
- A membership based upon qualified and well-managed employers
