Underwriter  |  Claims Manager  |  Risk Management Rep. ​ |  Business Development Rep.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE


This role is responsible for increasing new submissions, quotes and premium.

  • Day to day responsibility for reviewing customer web activity to spot trends positive and negative and addressing these trends immediately.
  • Establish a relationship with the principal and/or key contacts and making sure we are doing business with the right people.
  • Establish an active relationship and meet regularly with the broker/underwriting teams on strategy and tactics including travel and follow up.
  • Timely follow up and continuous communication with customers to find out and take advantage of additional opportunities.
  • Systematic prospecting and arranging meetings with potential new customers and with customers that have not reached their potential with the Company.

CLAIMS CASE MANAGER


Primarily responsible for investigating, determining compensability and managing workers’ compensation claims.

  • Determine coverage on new claims.
  • Contacting employer for initial investigation.
  • Contacting employee for information if needed. (recorded statements, etc.)
  • Reviewing medical bills to determine if payment is proper and referral of those bills for audit
  • Filing necessary forms with the industrial commission.
  • Determining appropriate reserves for claims and entering them in the system.
  • Corresponding with attorneys on legal issues.
  • Determining when claims need medical case management services and arranging such needs.
  • Must have the ability to solve practical problems and to work independently.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with insureds, injured workers and attorneys.
  • The ability to develop and display resourcefulness.

RISK MANAGEMENT REPRESENTATIVE


Develops and administers risk management and safety & loss program, conducts site surveys and works very closely with both the Claims and Underwriting Departments.

  • Determine risk exposures in the workplace.
  • Conduct thorough accident investigations.
  • Conduct safety inspections and training.
  • Interact effectively face-to-face with policyholders and potential policyholders.
  • Effective and detailed report writing required.
  • Flexible for daily and overnight travel.
  • Ability to maintaining and prioritize daily schedule.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to prescribed routines and practices.
  • Effective report writing.
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Good communication skills.

UNDERWRITER


Underwriters review submissions, prepare premium quotations and review accounts.

  • Builds and maintain relationships with contracted independent insurance agents.
  • Examines and evaluates documents such as applications forms, inspection and loss control reports, product brochures, financial reports to determine degree of risk and acceptability of application for insurance.
  • Evaluates the experience of a risk and loss potential against the class of business.
  • Communicates effectively (orally in writing or in person) with agents to obtain or clarify information.
  • Visits agents to maintain and cultivate relations.
  • Prepares quotation for agents.
  • Reviews policies for renewal consideration.
  • Accepts and binds insurance within underwriting authority.
  • Routinely demonstrates strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Exhibits strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.

JUNIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER


Software Developers are responsible for the development and continuous improvement of iSurity’s cutting edge software applications in a lean development environment using the latest tools and technologies: C#, Entity Framework 6, MS SQL Server, ASP MVC 6, Knockout JS, Kendo UI. As a part of the iSurity IT department you will:

  • Maintain and enhance the company’s suite of in-house line of business software applications.
  • Develop new software applications to support business objectives and growth.
  • Provide application support and develop bug fixes.
  • Develop data reporting solutions in collaboration with other departments to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Assist management in the decision making process and provide insights into trends by creating reports and dashboards using SSRS and the company’s data warehouse. Integrate and manipulate data from various EDI feeds using SSIS.
  • Participate in the decision making process regarding technology initiatives and strategy.
  • Provide technical support to internal users.
  • Assist with software upgrades and other infrastructure changes as needed.
  • A strong passion for technology and software development.
  • Software development experience as part of a software development team, as a contributor to an open source project or other personal and academic projects.
  • The willingness and ability to learn.
  • The ability to work independently and see a project through from requirement gathering to implementation.
  • Excellent time-management and self-management skills.
  • The ability to manage own time and commitments, stress, work style and self-development.
